NEW TV AD: Terry for Virginia Releases New TV Ad “Starving Schools” on Glenn Youngkin’s Trumpian Plan to Slash Education Funding & Destroy Public Schools

Independent Experts Say Youngkin’s Plan Would Cut $10 Billion in Public Education Funding, Eliminate 43,000 Teacher Jobs in VA

MCLEAN, VA – Terry for Virginia today released a new TV ad, “Starving Schools,” on Glenn Youngkin’s Trumpian plan to slash education funding and starve Virginia’s public schools. As governor, Glenn Youngkin would usher in a dangerous Trump-DeVos education agenda that would harm public schools, divert funding to private schools, and spell disaster for children and families across Virginia. Youngkin has even admitted his plans would divert taxpayer funds away from public schools, thereby starving Virginia’s public education system.

Independent analyses show that Youngkin’s economic plan would slash $10 billion in funding for Virginia’s public education system, leading to the elimination of 43,000 teacher positions. While Youngkin will bring a dangerous Trump-DeVos agenda to Virginia’s education system, Terry has a plan to make a record $2 billion annual investment in education to get every Virginia student online, expand pre-k to 40,000 3 and 4-year old children in need, and finally get teacher pay above the national average for the first time in Virginia history.
