Mr. McAuliffe comes to Richmond

The Virginian-Pilot

Terry McAuliffe huddled Thursday with his Democratic colleagues as a visitor at the State Capitol, a place many think he still hopes to inhabit one day as an elected official.

In town to speak to the diminished House of Delegates and Senate Democratic caucuses, the former gubernatorial candidate urged their members to focus on economic issues.

“I spoke to both Democratic caucuses today about continuing the fight for investment in Virginia.” McAuliffe said after meeting with fellow Democrats, who are in the minority in both General Assembly chambers. “Whether it’s investing in education or the jobs of the future, we must be prepared for federal budget cuts coming down the pipe.”
