McAuliffe to headline Hampton Roads fundraisers

Former, and perhaps future, Democratic candidate for governor Terry McAuliffe is scheduled attend separate political fundraisers next week for two local legislative candidates in Norfolk and Virginia Beach.

McAuliffe is to appear in Norfolk alongside Sen. Ralph Northam—the Democrat faces a re-election challenge from Republican Ben Loyola—at the Ocean View Fishing Pier Monday afternoon. Tickets range from $1,000 for sponsors to $50 for general admission.

Later that evening, McAuliffe is slated to attend state House candidate Adrianne Bennett’s Beach event to help raise cash for her challenge to Del. Ron Villanueva, R-Virginia Beach.
